How long does it take to get used to a new device?

A new device can be inconvenient and uncomfortable during the first weeks or months. We must get used to eat and speak with one device. A feeling of discomfort or mobility is not uncommon and we must wait until the muscles of the cheeks and tongue learn to hold the device in place. A flood of excessive saliva, a feeling of lack of adequate space for language and mild irritation or sensitivity localized are also common. If you feel some pain, return to your dentist
What is the life of a device?
Over time, your dentures will be re based
or recovered due to normal wear. The "rebasing" is the adaptation of the basis on the existing gum, it is practiced by the addition of resin under the base of your device. The age helping your mouth is changing course. With these changes, the device becomes mobile, making it hard to chew and irritating gums. It takes at least see the dentist once a year.
