Do You Have An Idea About Gum Disease?

An increasing health risk that will not go way by itself, but requires professional periodontal treatment, and is defined as an infection of the gum tissue and bones that surround the teeth is simply called gum disease. Gum disease is an infection caused by overgrowth of bacteria and the major cause of adult tooth loss. An individual may not be aware that the infection exists because gum disease is usually painless and develops slowly. The disease is usually caused by plaque, that forms on teeth constantly. Plaque is a sticky film of bacteria or germs. And these bacterial plaque creates toxins that can eventually cause damage to gums and to the bone surrounding the teeth.
